What Color Is That?

Just want to share a little achievement! Around a week ago, Toby and I were doing some coloring on the coloring book. I asked him what the color of his crayon is and he was able to reply correctly. I tried again asking about the other colors and he was able to get the correct answers. I was pleasantly surprised! When about a month ago, he was still getting it all mixed up. It is an achievement for my little boy who just turned 2 years and 6 months yesterday. Time really passes by too quickly!

Visit Okinawa Japan

Traveling is something that I love. When I was younger, my mom would take us to Taiwan during summer vacations and while my grandma was alive, she also took us to see China. It was great, since it was like learning about the culture of my forefathers!

There are still so many countries that I would like to visit someday. Okinawa Japan is one of those places. Okinawa Japan is known for beautiful beach resorts and its cherry blossoms. I have seen some pictures from some mommy blogger friends and I would love to see it personally someday! Okinawa has a very distinct culture from the rest of Japan as it has been influenced by China and other parts of Asia.

I learned about Okinawa though the Okinawa-Information. This website has so much information about the place. It is a great site to visit when you are planning your vacation. There are so many Okinawa hotels. There are 28 hotels in the south, 9 hotels in central, 20 hotels in the north, 12 hotels in the Yaeyama Islands, 4 in the Miyako Islands and 1 in the Kerama islands. There is a total of 74 Okinawa hotels listed in the website. That is a lot!

Hopefully, when the kids are bigger, we will be able to travel as a family to this place.

Bed Bugs!

As of now, we are a co-sleeping family. My hubby and I share our bed with the 2 kids. I really think its great that I get to embrace and cuddle them before we go to sleep. I always remind myself that this will not last forever as one day, they would want to move to their own room. So I truly cherish this precious moments!

Because of this, I want to make sure that the mattress is free from bed bugs! Bed bugs can cause skin irritations. My kids and I have sensitive skin so it is imperative we keep our bed bug-free. I recently learned that there are special mattress cover or pillow covers which can protect it from bugs. I think as moms who want to keep their family safe from bed bugs, we should check this out.

Monday Movie Meme

Today's theme is action movie heroes.
I am not very fond of action movies, but I do watch them from time to time.

I like Harrison Ford and I like him as:
Jack Ryan of Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games.
President James Marshall of Air Force One

Keanu Reeves as Officer Jack Traven of Speed

Rusell Crowe as Maximus of Gladiator

Matt Damon as Jason Bourne of the Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum
For other action packed movies, check out The Bumbles Blog.

Reasons To Smile

I can't believe! I'm so happy that Toby's pic is on the second collage for last week's I heart faces entries! Though I didn't win... it is enough that his picture is there on their page!

Another reason is that I have received this Perky Blogger Award from Mommy Seiko. According to Dictionary.com Perky - means jaunty; cheerful; brisk; pert. Thanks so much!

Yesterday's News

Yesterday, Eds informed that I got an increase in my PageRank. It was great news!
Free PageRank Checker

Then when I viewed my page, my page got distorted! I tried to think of what I have done last before I went to sleep... but hubby was bringing the laptop with him so I just had to access email through my mobile. Its a good thing that Ms. Carlota helped me find out what went wrong. Thanks for helping me again, Ms. Carlota!

And of course, the news about Michael Jackson's death. Though I am not really an avid fan of Michael, I grew up listening to his songs and watching his MTVs. I still remember the Thriller MTV... It is sad to see a music icon pass away. I can still remember when Francis M. passed away a few months ago...

Life is so short... Let us live it the way God wants us to. I think that is the best!

Personality Test

Thanks to Tetcha for this personality test!

The rules are simple:

1. Open this website: Personality Test

2. Take the Personality Quiz. (It's very short and easy really!)

3. Copy paste the result to your blog.

4. Tag as many friends you can and link to the friend who tagged you!

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

I would like to pass this onto: Happy Thoughts... Happy Tot, Her and History, Me Myself and Irmee, Mommy Diaries and Dashing Smiles

Mommy Moments - School Days

mommy moments

Its Friday once again! Our theme for this week is SCHOOL DAYS. Here in the Philippines, school has just started this month. My little girl is currently in the preparatory level. She still goes to the same school she went to last year. She just started to go to school last year. She had a hard time adjusting for the first two weeks. She didn't want me to leave her and she didn't want to participate at all! Well, I am glad that she has out grown that stage already. I am happy that she is not too shy anymore but she still doesn't participate in games. She is hesitant to join in programmes too but slowly, she was able to adjust and she seemed more comfortable already by the end of the school year. She also did really well at school too. I hope this year, she will be able to cope up and do well too! My little Toby is still being homeschooled by Mommy this year.

Here is my little girl in uniform :)
