Helping Others

A few days ago, I wrote that I want to be more pro-active and more intentional in everything I do. I want my kids to grow up seeing that we care for others and we actively help out others in our own little way. I want them to know that God placed us on Earth for a purpose.

Planning social outreaches this coming year and sharing our blessings with abandoned kids are something that I want to work on. While everything is still in the planning stage, I want to share with you something that I saw on the web which might interest you especially if you have a spare car at home. If you have a car which might no longer be working at your house and you don’t know what to do with it, you may want to donate car for kids welfare. Your car donations will be sold and the proceeds from the car donation will go to the underprivileged and disadvantaged children. The money is spent on children’s hospitals, ,mentoring and educational programs and various community outreach initiatives. This is truly a unique way of helping others.
If you are wondering how to donate your car, it seems quite simple. Fill up a simple form, schedule the vehicle pickup and receive tax deductions. I believe this car donation though is only applicable for the United States. Might be a good idea to start it here in the Philippines too!
