“Good”

My son has formally started school this school year. He is now in Kindergarden. I am glad that he is enjoying learning and even if he sometimes doesn’t like to do or finish the activities, still, he gets into the habit of finishing what he started. One of the reasons why we chose to homeschool him is because we really want to instill the value of love for learning and character development.

Just the other day, because he was very diligent in doing his work, I gave him a “star” for his good character! I sometimes give stamps as a reward to let him realize that working hard would sometimes give you benefits in the end. It has been a challenge but I am glad that we are moving in the right direction.

  1. I have never thought to do a hand stamp, but that’s an excellent idea. My 7 year old would be so excited about that! Thanks!

  2. Good job on homeschooling! I am still contemplating on homeschooling but it is really getting more complicated for me since I have a full time work we don’t have much support for homeschooling here in Spain. oh well, I still have about less than 2 years to see how this will go 🙂

  3. Praising kids for a job well done makes them want to do more good things at home or in school. In my son’s school, the children are also given “stars” like that to commend them for their good works.
