It was my first time to leave my kids for more than a day. My hubby and I joined a pastors and wives retreat for 3 days in CCT Tagaytay earlier this week. I enjoyed the “me” time and relaxing time I had with hubby without the kids.

Here is our photo with the speakers of the sessions, Pastor Tony Yeo and his wife.

It was a refreshing time – meeting other pastors and their wives and knowing that you are not alone in your journey. I also was reminded of basic truths about God and the life I now live. It is truly encouraging to go on a retreat at least once a year.

  1. I miss the serenity of Tagaytay. It feels like ages since the last time I’ve been there!

  2. I miss going on a retreat!

  3. It’s been a long time since I last went to Tagaytay. I wish we can also spend a day or two without the kids. But that is quite impossible for now, because all out of town trips are always with the my 3 boys. Visiting for MM

  4. Glad to be able to join you on Mommy Moments this week 🙂

  5. As much as we hate to be parted from our kids, sometimes it’s good to get some time away from them for our sanity, relaxation, and personal well-being. Glad you enjoyed your Mom “Me” time!

  6. yes. indeed, retreat can relax you inside-out.

  7. That’s the advantage of having older children. It’s great to be recharged before taking up mommy duties again.
