Adjustment Blues This January

The new year is rolling by rather quickly this year and I can hardly believe it! It’s already the 13th of January and I feel like I haven’t been able to take a breather. You see, this year marked some changes in our life. After focusing on GCF Santa Rosa Church for the past 5 years, my husband has taken a new challenge and is now focusing on building GCF Nuvali Church. Ministry is more challenging since everything is just starting.

Personally, I also accepted a new line of work which is tutoring kids at a tutorial center. I work in the afternoons and so, we need to finish our formal homeschool lessons by 2pm to ensure that I won’t be late. It also means that I must be able to multi-task effectively, making sure that my daughter will be able to attend her ballet classes on days that my husband can’t bring her to Alabang.

I also want to accomplish my goal of being able to read 1 book every month, help GCF Nuvali build its website and mobile site as well, meet with my existing discipleship group and start a new Bible study group. I want to be consistent with my Bible reading as well. And of course, to maintain this blog. Whew!

So far, I have not yet found the perfect schedule for me — so that is why I am still figuring it all out. I feel drained because I have not been able to have a regular devotional time in the mornings yet. So I am stopping and thinking about how my day goes by — and re-scheduling my day.

I’m still adjusting… It is difficult but I believe the Lord will help me make it work.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21
