Homeschooling Must Haves: Educating the WholeHearted Child

As a homeschooling family for the past 3 years, there are several books which I read or refer to every now and then to guide me in our journey. I would like to share with you a book which can help you as you travel on your own journey with your kids.

Educating the Wholehearted Child by Clay Clarkson with Sally Clarkson.

It is a very detailed and organized book on the whats, the whys  and the how to build your Christian home education program for your family. It contains principles and practical tips helpful for both old and new homeschoolers. While sharing all the schools of homeschooling, the book encourages the whole hearted learning model.

What is the whole hearted learning model? As written and explained in the book, “The whole hearted learning model is a discipleship-based, home-centered, whole-book approach to Christian home education that integrates real books, real life, and real relationships in a life-giving expression of God’s biblical design for the family.”

The whole book is divided into 4 parts namely home, learning, methods and living.

I definitely think that this book is a must have in your home library. It provides inspiration as well as methodologies all homeschooling parents are looking for.
