Manila Ocean Park

It was a field trip day for our family! Time for some hands on learning.  Last Friday, we braved the traffic and went to Manila Ocean Park. It was our first time and as we entered the venue, there were many people visiting as well.

We visited several of their attractions but I personally liked the Oceanarium as it featured many different sea creatures and showed the diverse corals that can be found in the our reefs.

They also have unique insects and crawling animals  in the World of Creepy Crawlies. There were many poisonous  frogs too!

We visited the Bird House and the Birds of Prey Kingdom where you can have a close encounter with the Lawin.

There were several other attractions that we visited like the Trails to Antartica where we saw penguins, the Shark and Ray Encouter where we were allowed to touch the Sting Rays. We also watched the Sea Lion Show before we went home.

This trip showed us the wonders of the ocean and the animals around us – a reminder that we need to be responsible users of the world’s resources as we share this earth with them.
