Singapore Attractions Suitable for Tweens and Teens

Last September, I was able to visit Singapore with my children. We’ve been to Singapore before so this is not our first trip to this beautiful country but it has been 5 years since they last visited. Since my kids are now older, I had to research and make sure that the places they will visit will be something that is suitable and enjoyable for them.

Here are the top 5 places I found for them:

  • Universal Studios – If your children likes entertainment, rides and theme parks, definitely a must-visit!
  • Marine S.E.A. Aquarium – Who doesn’t love underwater creatures?
  • Singapore Zoo – A very wide range of animals can be seen in this spacious zoo.
  • National Gallery – Learn more about Singaporean culture, history and art.
  • Art Science Museum – An interactive and  contemporary art museum.

Do you have any other recommendations for Tweens and Teens who are planning to visit Singapore?

Our Singapore Trip

We were blessed recently to be able to take a quick family vacation at Singapore. It was a wonderful trip spent with my mother, sister, brother and our entire family. We were able to go to different places in Singapore and had lots of opportunity to enjoy the vacation.

We stayed at Festive Hotel for our first night. It is located right at Resorts World Sentosa.  The room was big enough for the 7 of us!

We enjoyed the S.E.A. Aquarium. There were numerous underwater creatures which includes Jellyfish, spider crabs, dolphins, lobsters, sharks, rays and all sorts of fish. It was divided according to the different seas of the world and what can be found in each. It showcases the biggest sea aquarium in the entire world!

We watched the water, sounds and light show entitled Songs of the Sea and it was spectacular indeed! We enjoyed the Luge, Skytrain amd the cable car too. We rode the monorail tram to Vivo City and other places as well.

We rode MRT to Marina Bay Sands and the surrounding Art Science Museum.

On our second and third night, we stayed at the Concorde Hotel in Orchard.

The best part of our trip according to my kids was the Singapore Zoo. We trekked around the entire zoo, rode the trams and watched the different shows featuring different animals. I was amazed to see the animals up close and thriving in their natural habitat. We saw elephants, polar bear, tapir, monkeys, giraffe, zebra, lion, tiger, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, sea lion, penguin and many more.

At night, we also went to Night Safari. What a great experience it was to ride the tram while cruising around the zoo during night time.

I definitely enjoyed the vacation. It was a blessing to be with the whole family and get to experience many new adventures together!
