New TV Series Worth Watching

Aside from reading books, one of things I do during down time is watch TV series. I have followed many TV series in the past like Prison Break, CSI, Criminal Minds, Lost, Heroes and 24.

More recently, I have been watching new series and I’d like to share them with you:

Madame Secretary is an American political drama that stars Tea Leoni and Tim Daly. I like the way the series handles conflicts in the political scene and how the McCord family survives and thrives throughout the challenges they face.

The Gifted is a spin-off from the Xmen movies. Story is about how the mutants survive in a world where they face discrimination and how they escape as they are being hunted by the Sentinnel Services.

Designated Survivor is an American political drama about how Tom Kirkman survived and became the President of the US instantly. He is actually doing a good job being the president but faces many challenges.

The Flash is on its 4th season now and continues to amaze us. Hopefully, they continue with a good storyline.

Legends of Tomorrow is an adventure to watch. The not-so-super heroes doing their best to change the world. This series changes its setting every episode and has been really fun to watch!

SuperBook

Another recent favorite of my kids is a cartoon from the 80s, Superbook . I used to watch Superbook myself when I was a child and it amazes me that now my kids are the one watching and enjoying it. Superbook covers Old and New Testament stories from the Bible. I think it is good for kids to watch and learn about Bible stories too. Now, they are watching it while I am looking at plasma tv stands on the net.

Their New Love

My kids found a new love – Hi-5! They enjoy this show every morning. It is a good thing that it’s now being shown on a local channel since we do not have a cable connection. The show is quite entertaining with different songs and their different make-believe play everyday. It would be even better if we can watch this on white lcd tv, wouldn’t it?

Fated To Love You

I just recently watched this Taiwanese drama and I really enjoyed. I loved the story, the characters, the songs used were good too and the actors fitted their roles perfectly. Perhaps, its because I could identify with the main character Chen Xin Yi or because I like the way they showed what unconditional love really is… I also liked how the characters matured and realized their mistakes. I cried and laughed with the character… Sigh.. I guess, I am really a romantic at heart 🙂 Or deep inside, am I a simple, sticky note girl myself? hehehe.. you probably dont have any idea what I am talking about.

Check out the sypnosis below.. (taken from its Facebook profile… )

Chen Xin Yi is type of girl called “sticky note girl” who is plain, simple, law-abiding, and her wishes are simple. She splurged on a love cruise, but accidentally entered the wrong room. When she woke up, she was stunned to find that she had a one night stand with a stranger named Ji Cun Xi, who was every girl’s prince charming, rich and handsome, young and capable.

When Chen Xin Yi saw her pregnancy test results, she regretted not jumping off the ship. Ji Cun Xi’s Granny forced him to marry Chen Xin Yi by threatening to call and tell his girlfriend Anna Shi. Chun Xi, without his Granny’s consent, secretly signed a pre-marriage contract with Xin Yi which states that they would divorce after the baby is born.

The two strangers, from being unable to adapt initially, learned to get used to each other. Ji Cun Xi never would have thought that his unresolved relationship with Anna Shi would hurt Chen Xin Yi, who disappeared after leaving behind a divorce agreement. He had thought that this would be the best ending, but Xin Yi had unknowingly captured his heart. He vowed that if he can find Chen Xin Yi again, he would start over and pursue her. This time it would not be the way a father treats the mother of his child, but as a man treats a woman…

Anyway, if you are watching Asianovelas, I recommend you watch this one. As for me, I really wouldn’t mind watching this series over and over again. In fact, I just might watch it again!
