Our Homeschool Routine

We have been homeschooling for a week now. So how does our usual day look like? I wake up on or before 6am to pray and to read the Bible and before 7, I start my house chores. Then the kids wake up and eat their breakfast… then around 830am, we start our day with a prayer and singing of National anthem. There are days that we sing praise and worship songs then we do our devotions. So around 9am, we start our lessons. We usually do 3 subjects each day. We finish around 3pm, of course, that is inclusive of snack breaks and lunch break.

Toby usually joins us… I give him activities too, like coloring or writing. Sometimes, he also does crafts. Other days, I let him play.

There are still a lot of things I want to improve on and research on as we go along. But so far, God has been so good in giving us what we need and the adjustment has been fine!

  1. Way to go Chris! Staring the day with prayer and thanksgiving makes everything fall right into place. I will surely follow, I've been thinking of homeschooling my son for next year.

Make sure there is down time – for you and the kids. We need time to reflect and assimilate the things that we hear and learn…

Just a quick question Mommy Chris, I feel stupid for asking hehe! Pero gusto ko kasi ma-clarify, homeschooling means, letting them study in the house right?

I am really happy that homeschooling is already here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, I haven't found a place where to get accreditation here in Bacolod City.

I wish I can do homeschooling too!
