What’s in the Bible Review and Giveaway

I have been seeing “What’s in the Bible” in some advertisements and I was really curious to know what sort of video it is. We are big fans of Veggietales and knowing that this new series came from the same makers, made us really excited to watch the film!

Here is a short synopsis about the film:

Join VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer and a boatload of new friends on a groundbreaking journey through the world’s most amazing book, the Bible!

“In the Beginning” contains two 25-minute episodes.
Part 1: “What is the Bible?” How is put together? Kids learn alongside Buck Denver, Sunday School Lady, Brother Louie and the crew that the Bible tells the story of God and what He’s done for us.
Part 2: “Who wrote the Bible?” Next, Buck and friends learn how God inspired people to write the Bible. They also learn how the first part of Genesis sets the stage for the rest of the Bible – and all of history!

My kids and I  didn’t know what to expect but as the film progressed, we watched excitedly. Though the kids aren’t fans of puppets, the songs and the stories gave them something visual so they appreciated it. They didn’t get bored while they were learning about theology. My favorite part was when sin was discussed – it was shown in a way a 5 year old would easily understand it. If you are looking for a good Bible study material, What’s in the Bible series is worth checking out. They have some study guides available in their website so you can study the material in depth with  your kids. It would be a good supplement for Bible lessons for your  kids ages 4 and above. There are  7 DVDs out already. It discusses the books from the Bible from Genesis until Esther.

Now, the good news! The generous people behind this series is partnering with The Mommy Journey and giving one reader a digital copy of the first DVD, What’s in the Bible: In the Beginning!  This giveaway starts today April 23 until April 30! It is open worldwide!  Use the rafflecopter below to join!
