Classic Literature Giveaway

For the past month, we have shared several posts about reading chapter books and reading books with your kids. We know that it is important to read with your kids but  how can we encourage our older kids to continue reading?  It starts by giving them good materials that they can enjoy. There are several story lines that the young adults can choose from, but as they say, nothing beats reading classics! Contrary to the notion that they are boring, most classics are filled with humor, action scenes and lessons.  Today, I want to share with you the list of classic literature you can read with your intermediate readers!

In partnership with Fully Booked, we have gathered a list of their best selling young adult classic titles. Here they are, in no particular order.

– Treasure Island

  2. My favorite book quote is from the heart-warming “Guess How Much I Love You.” It is when Big Nutbrown Hare whispered to his son: “I love you right up to the moon – and back.”

  3. I like this quote from a Harry Potter book “It is our choices…that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

  4. Yep, I totally agree with you regarding teens like me are more encouraged to read read read when the cover and subject matter captivates our attention. 🙂 Love your blog po, it helps me and my mom have a better connection. 🙂

  5. Oh, and my favorite quote from a book is from Divergent, and the said quote goes like this: “I have a theory. That selflessness and bravery aren’t all that different.” 😀
