Our Olympics Study

A few weeks ago, we watched the London Olympics 2012 opening ceremonies on TV.  I took this opportunity to teach the kids about the Olympics since it only happens once every four years. We read a book from the series Magic Tree House about the Olympics and studied its fact book too. Then we did a lapbook together.

My daughter even created her original design of  an olympic emblem! As a culminating activity, we did several activities at home just like the olympic games!

We did sprint.

We did ring toss, balance beam and a few other games!

In the end, we had medal tallying and each participant received their own medal too.
