Stop Smoking

It’s one of the filthiest, most unhealthy habits that anyone can have, yet it’s also hard to give up: that pretty much sums up smoking. Whether you’ve been doing it for a few weeks or a few years, it can have a huge negative impact on your health, as well as that of those who are near you when you smoke. If you smoke several times a day, you’re prone to developing breathing problems and diseases such as asthma, not to mention putting yourself at risk of developing lung cancer.

Although it’s seen by many people as being difficult to quit, a visit to websites such as will show you that there are ways of quitting without necessarily having to completely do without the pleasure of smoking. Electronic cigarettes, nicotine patches and nicotine gum can all help to satisfy any cravings you may have, and if used sparingly, they will help you to quit smoking altogether, which is surely a good thing.

Alternatively, if you want to quit, you could think about all the things that it’s doing to the health of you and those closest to you, and then you could use that as motivation to kick that habit. It might sound difficult to do, but if you manage it, you’ll be doing yourself, your kids and other family members a huge favour, as they won’t find themselves inhaling second-hand smoke which can cause numerous health problems. I try to be a good role model to my kids, and by choosing not to smoke, I hope that they’ll follow my lead when they’re old enough to make their own choices in life.
