8 Years and Counting

We have been residing in this house outside of the metro for the past 8 years now. It is not a big house but one that is just right for the size of our family. We live comfortably and our stuff fits just right. We have plans to add a small garage at the backside area and to add a fence soon. But other than that, we are more than grateful to the Lord for providing this perfect place for us.

When we moved here 8 years ago, we couldn’t have known that hubby would eventually become a pastor here in Santa Rosa. We also didn’t know that we would be homeschooling the kids. God prepared this place for us since He knew what we would need as a family. This city has been slowly progressing and developing through the years.  Aside for meetings, we hardly go back to the Metro now.

We have all the services we need here including laundry services and green carpet cleaning. What we love most is the outdoor space we get to enjoy in our own village and in nearby places. It has provided our family with countless fun memories together!

8 years and counting… We are definitely looking forward to the next years we are staying here!

  1. Wow! 8 years! That’s a long time. I think it’s better to live outside the metro as long as you’re near all the essential places like the markets, schools, hospitals etc. Air is cleaner and environment is quieter. I hope we can have our own home in a quiet neighborhood someday too. =)

  2. Did you grow up in Manila? What were the difficulties you encountered when you first moved there? I’m thinking of finding a good place in the province also, but afraid that I may not have a source of living.

    • Hello Eva! I grew up in Manila. One of the first problems was I didn’t know anyone here.. so it was really an adjustment. But eventually, I met friends and living in a not so crowded city is really best for my family 🙂 Source of living? It depends on what your skills are. There are many opportunities here since it is also a developing city.
