Ninoy, Cory and Noynoy, A Good Edsa Revolution Story Book

Today is the anniversary of the Edsa Revolution. I can hardly believe that it has been 27 years ago. I can still remember watching the events unfold on the television and how everything was standstill during those days.ย The government has declared February 25 as a no school day to commemorate Edsa Revolution. But we opted to continue with our studies as we wanted to finish some work and I wanted to teach my kids what made today special for the Filipino people.

I told my children that I was roughly 9 years old when all these events took place. Of course, I didn’t fully understand what was going on those days. But as I grew up, I learned to appreciate what happened those years. We didn’t go out to the streets those days so I didn’t have much to tell them so I opted to read this book to them today, to let them know what truly happened and how important it was for all Filipinos.

My sister bought this book from National Book Store a few weeks ago and it was perfect for the Edsa Revolution Day. The kids understood better what happened because there were pictures inside and the words used weren’t too heavy for them to understand. It gave them a glimpse of what transpired and how important it is that we be responsible for the freedom we now enjoy. The story teller is President Noynoy Aquino and this gives the children someone they know and makes the story even more interesting for them.

The book is published by Summit Publishing and this book is available at National Book Store.
