June is here. It just means that another school year is about to begin. We are homeschoolers and this will be our 5th year of homeschooling. My daughter is now in grade 5 while my son in grade 2.
I reflected on our previous homeschool year and there were many things we want to do differently this year. I know that I want to be more prayerful and prepared.
So just before we start our school year, I did something different. I started with a day of prayer and preparation. I pray that may the Lord use this school year to help us as a family to draw closer to the Lord together and as individuals to know Him more.
Here are some of the things I want to be reminded of for this year:
> More meaningful projects. Whether big or small projects, I pray that the kids will own these projects and bring them unto completion.
> Interact with others more. Whether through interviews, workshops, emails or group work.
> Less hurried time and more intentional time together.
> Don’t fret when we can’t do all that we want to do.
We haven’t enrolled yet but we plan to enroll again with TMA soon. We are all very excited and geared up to start a new year soon!
