Our school year has officially begun last week. We have enrolled with TMA (The Master’s Academy) for the 5th year now. I’m sharing with you how the schedule of my grade 2 and grade 5 student looks like!
We start our studies at around 8:30AM with Bible and after about an hour, we take on our next subject. We take a break by 11:00AM then restart by 12:30PM with our daily read aloud and continue on with the rest of our subjects. We usually end our lessons around 3PM.
We have some subjects that we do together like World Georgraphy, Arts, Bible, Science, Sonlight Reading and Language Arts. While the rest of the other subjects like Math, History, Social Studies, Filipino, English Grammar, Music and P.E. are done individually since they are in different levels already. My daughter attends ballet classes while my son goes to football trainings. They also pursue their own interests, my son does unit studies while my daughter does HELE projects.
Our goals for this school year includes:
> More projects.
> Reach out to community.
> Consistency and diligence in everything we do.
For the past 5 years, I am blessed to have seen how my kids have grown and to have grown alongside with them. It has not been an easy path but when I look back, I know that we have made the right choice of homeschooling them.
Here’s to looking forward what this school year will bring us!
