Monday Movie Meme – I Didn’t Like It!

This week’s theme is all about walking out… movies you wished you didn’t spend time watching!
Here is my list. I am not going to elaborate… I just didn’t really like them.

  1. I didn't like Benjamin Button either. It was slow and didn't make sense in some places. I read the story in like half an hour one day browsing a bookstore and loved it so I was excited about the movie, but I was just let down. I will say there were some visually beautiful shots but that's about it.

  2. I did not really like those movies either.

  3. I might be one of those who sat all ears and eyes til the very end of Benjamin Button lol. I was actually fascinated by how they portrayed Benjamin's aging process backwards, and the accompanying references to events happening around the time frame.

  4. The Gal Herself says:

I'm not surprised you didn't like Manchurian Candidate or Benjamin Button. I'm a pretty regular movie goer and I steered clear of them. Thanks for letting me know I really didn't miss anything!

  5. i agree that benjamin button is slow and a long movie.. but in the second half i find it really interesting… i love the ending…

    i also like manchurian candidate…

mommy chris, denzel has a new movie coming up with john travolta.. i think it is pelham 123 (or something like that)

  6. Sweet Serendipity says:

I was slow to get into Benjamin Button, but in the end I found it interesting. Plus, I love the ballet…I used to dance.

I can add one I wish I had not watched…Revolutionary Road…ugh! Just watched it the other night with hubs. It was horribly depressing. The plot was slow and meandering and the story just doom and gloom. The actors were wonderful, but I could have done without it.

  7. I am glad I haven't wasted my time watching those (except Benjamin Button I did watch and like). On one of my first dates with my husband we rented Being John Malcovitch and it was the worst movie we'd ever seen. . made for an awkward date. A movie I didn't even sit through (I walked out of the theater) was The Astronaut's Wife. Thankfully I can't think of any others.

  8. I love Benjamin Button, love the quotable quotes. Haha. Manchurian Candidate is just fine w/ me. The Happening has been sitting around at the house waiting to be watched. Yes, I haven't watched it yet. 😀

  9. Clarissa says:

I haven't seen the movie listed yet but interested of watching the Benjamin Button movie.

  10. The Bumbles says:

I was actually just thinking that I should rent the Manchurian Candidate! I was going through all of Denzel's films and read the synopsis and thought it sounded interesting. No?
